Maximizing Your Floral Budget

Beautiful Florals - Maximizing Your Floral Budget - Florist in Austin, TX

Flowers have the ability to enhance every part of your wedding day, making each moment more personal and beautiful. No matter your vision, there are thoughtful ways to approach your floral decisions that allow you to get the most out of your investment. Here are four strategies to help you make the most of your floral budget.

1. Choose Statement Flowers

One of the easiest ways to make your wedding flowers feel impactful is to prioritize a few big floral moments instead of spreading your budget between average-sized arrangements everywhere. For the same cost, your florals will stand out more  and be more memorable if you choose a few statement pieces like a dramatic ceremony installation, a hanging installation, or oversized vase arrangements on the bar or escort card table, and opt for smaller florals like bud vases and candles on your tables. We recommend prioritizing high-visibility areas that all of your guests will be looking at (and your photographer will be focusing on), making them great places to invest in some show-stopping florals.

2. Work from a Color Palette, Not Specific Flowers

Flexibility is key, not just when it comes to working with local flowers, but also for maximizing your floral budget! If you’re set on using specific types of flowers, then we don’t have as much wiggle room within your budget. But if you give us a general color palette, we can choose the most beautiful, in-season blooms that fit your budget. There are other creative and cost effective ways to bring your color palette to life, as well. For example, incorporating fruits, vegetables, or colored candles into your tablescape can make a big impact and complement your flowers, all while helping stretch your floral budget.

3. Repurpose Your Ceremony Flowers

Repurposing flowers is a great way to get more value from your florals. For example, we can move your floral arch or a floral meadow from your ceremony to your head table or sweetheart table, cake table, near the dance floor, or anywhere else you want to make a statement. Similarly, tall vases can transition from aisle entry arrangements to bar arrangements, bridesmaids’ bouquets can be moved to cocktail or guest tables, and so on—our team is all about a seamless transition! There are some limitations to repurposing (for example, it’s more of a challenge for outdoor weddings during the hottest parts of the year), but we’re always happy to suggest designs that will repurpose well.

4. Trust Your Florist!

Ultimately, the best way to maximize your floral budget is to stay flexible and trust your florist. We know how to prioritize key areas where your florals will have the most impact and where to make smart trade-offs that won’t sacrifice style. If you’re transparent about your floral budget and open to creative ideas, we can bring your vision to life in a way that feels intentional, cohesive, and high-quality, while still honoring your budget.

A well-thought-out approach to your florals ensures that your wedding will be meaningful and memorable from start to finish. When you’re ready to get started, we’ll help you design your unbelievably beautiful day in a way that works for you!
